Practicing meditation in nature

Meditation

Just as the tuber holds close to it the perfect form of the rose, so too we carry within us our own perfection. When the right conditions of light and water are met, the bud opens and reveals the rose it is. In the same way, the simple training of I-Chuan helps us to free ourselves from old habits and patterns of standing and movement, and allows the natural vitality in us - in body, mind and spirit - to be revealed.

— Master Fong Ha, Yi Chuan and the Nature of Energy

The meditation taught at the dojo is based on method principles Yi Chuan - An internal art of practice that places awareness, intention and presence at the center of the path.

The practice is suitable for everyone: for martial arts practitioners who wish to deepen their ability, for people who wish to improve their health, posture and vitality, for those who are dealing with stress, stress, injuries or challenging periods, and for anyone who wishes to develop concentration, inner stability and peace.

way of awareness

the founder of the method, Master Wang Xiang-jai, taught that the purpose of the practice is to stabilize the mind and concentrate the "spirit of life". the word "Island" (Yi) In Chinese it means conscious intention - the ability to direct the body, the breath and the consciousness to one place.

When the intention becomes clear, the movement becomes more natural, the body is freed from unnecessary effort, and the person reconnects with the natural abilities present in him from birth.

The three modes of practice

Ichuan practice is based on three main situations:

  • meeting
  • resistance
  • walk

Everyone starts from the same principle - inner silence, natural breathing and deep listening to the body.

Standing meditation - Chan Zhuang

One of the main practices in the method is Chan Zhuang – Standing meditation.

Apparently there is no movement in it at all, but in fact it is a deep practice that allows the body to reorganize itself. When standing without unnecessary effort, old tensions begin to be released, the posture balances, and the body learns to act with softness and stability.

According to Chinese medicine, in places where there is continuous tension, the flow of qi is not free. As the body relaxes, the flow of energy naturally improves and encourages the body's ability to heal and balance internally.

feel the chi

During the practice, various sensations may appear - heat, cold, tingling, throbbing, a gentle tremor or a feeling of flow.

There is no need to try to create them or hold on to them. They are simply an expression of the body waking up, releasing and reorganizing.

In tradition it is called "Experience the Chi" - Not as a belief or as an abstract idea, but as a personal and direct experience that develops from consistent practice.

Simple practice - profound effect

As one goes deeper into the practice, a feeling of stability, relaxation and clarity is created. Breathing becomes more natural, the body softens, and the mind becomes quiet and clear.

From this stability, you can also continue with gentle movement exercises, which direct the flow of chi along the energy pathways (meridians). Each pose and position has a different quality and a unique effect on the body and internal system.

Baichuan meditation is not an escape from life - but a way to be present in it more fully, calmly and accurately.
