Dojo Baharim with Marek Wajsman

Dojo Baharim was founded in Jerusalem in 1990 by Marek Wajsman, and since then has been operating as a space for learning Tai Chi, Qi Gong and meditation in a traditional, deep and accessible way.

Marek teaches regular classes in Neve Shalom, Modi'in, Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, alongside workshops, retreats in Israel and abroad, and personal-private training.

The aim of the training is to penetrate into everyday life - into movement, breathing, listening, relationships and the way we encounter the world.

The way precedes the result. The pace is personal, natural and open to learning, with the understanding that when you follow the path in the right direction, the results come naturally.

At the heart of the study is the quality of a student: openness, patience, trust in the process and readiness for an inner journey of growth. In the dojo, conditions, tools and practice space are created that allow each person to open up to the process at a pace that suits them.

In the personal-private trainings, the practice can be precisely adapted to the needs of the trainee: improving movement and posture, deepening the breath, strengthening attention, working with stress, pain or load, and deepening in the personal way.

It is a personal, quiet and focused space, suitable for beginners, experienced practitioners, and people seeking closer accompaniment along the way.

My teacher, Grandmaster Fong Ha, summarized the path in three stages:

  1. Cultivation - the cultivation and processing of energy
  2. Utilization - the integration of knowledge in everyday life
  3. Manifestation - the realization of knowledge at every moment

Tai Chi, Qi Gong and Aikido meet here on the same principle: harmonious, flowing movement.

Every training begins with the creation of inner silence, presence and concentration - qualities that accompany the practice and continue into life itself.
