martial system
The martial system
of standing is called Zhan Zhuang. Zhan means standing, Zhuang means
foundation; together they mean standing foundation.
This is a practice of
stillness (unlike the practice of movement in other systems) that will
generate all the necessary knowledge for the martial artist. Hence, this is
a supreme practice, because there is nothing you should do: do not think, do
not move. These are actually the highest values of the Daoist practice. When
the body does not move, you cultivate your chi — internal energy. When the
mind does not move you cultivate your Shen - your vitality. Usually we train
our body, we program it do all sorts of things. By simply
standing, we train ourselves just to be, instead of to act. standing is just
allowing the natural ability to work.
The greatest way of the Dao is to
follow the self-nature. Practicing Zhan Zhuang regularly helps us break
through a lifetime of old habits and programmed patterns of posture and
movement.

Grandmaster Sifu Fong H
Grandmaster Sifu Fong Ha
started
his formal training in Tai Chi Chuan in 1953 first with Master
Tung Ying-Chieh and after his death with Master
Yang Sau-Chung , the eldest son of the legendary
Yang Cheng-fu. His training in the Internal System of Martial
Arts, Yiquan, was with Master
Han Xing-Yuan, a disciple of Master
Wang Hsin-Chai, the founder of Yiquan also known as Dachenquan. Master Fong is famous for
his simple and clear way of teaching. He has developed a unique approach for
internal martial arts combining Taiji and Yiquan. He emphases the classic
and the fundamental principles of Taiji. In this way the practitioner
develops deep understanding of the art. He develops internal power that
project outward into his everyday life.
